 GOVERNMENT GUIDANCE FOR GROUP ORGANISERS.

In a survey of 267 group organisers which represents 43,000 group members who completed the survey on getting going again. It was a 50/50 split between groups ready to get going in 2020 and groups wanting to wait  until 2021.

For Groups waiting to get going again this year, Government Guidance on Covid-19 safety now allows businesses and venues to host groups of 30 or more people.

With a growing number of  Coach Operators planning to carry up to 40 people from September 2020 in full and safe compliance with the one metre social distancing guidelines .It’s Good News for GTO's (Group Travel Organisers) ready to get going again in 2020.

ON MONDAY 20th July 2020 500 Coaches  From all over the UK  including Cozy's headed in a convoy  to The Palace of Westminster to ask the Government  for help. (The Coaching Sector has had no help at all, in fact many family companies  who have been trading for many years have had no way of keeping in business and reluctantly had to go into administration).

In the week that Boris has announced £2 billion for Cycling, is the Government listening to the calls to Save the British Coaching Sector, a lifeline for many of our older Generation.

GROUPS of 30 or more people can now gather for indoor meetings and  travel by Coach for Day Trips and Holidays as well as other Events  where the event has been organised  by a Company that has carried out a Risk Assessment which has been implemented to ensure a safe distance of one metre between individuals  who are not part  of the same household  or social bubble.

Many Coach Companies are planning  to carry a maximum of 40 people on a 52/3 Seater Coach, from September.

Passengers will be boarded from  the back to the front and disembarked  from the Front to the Back.

You will asked  to wear a mask when Boarding and Disembarking but unlike Public Transport  not all Coach companies will expect  you to wear the mask throughout the journey.

Seats will be filled according to the Coach Company and Government Guidelines.

GUIDED TOURS

The Government Guidelines State that guided Tours are now permitted and should be amended to minimise the risk of  leaders shouting to and over visitor groups.

GUIDE commentary on the Coach  will be given from the Crew Seat or reserved front passenger  seat to reserve a 1 metre distance from the Driver and Passengers. Tour Guides will board last and disembark first.

Off The Coach Commentary will be given using The New Vox Connect App.

Participants can download a Free Smart Phone App and using their own earphones to listen to Crystal Clear Transmission of the Tour Guides Commentary.

No need to worry if you do not have a Smart Phone you will be able to stand close  enough  to the guide without  breaching the one metre  social distancing  to hear.

The selection of day Trips and Holidays in 2020 will always take care  of arrangements  for refreshments, Lunches and toilet stops in such a way as to avoid  needing to queue with the Public.

Look out for the official VISIT BRITAIN ENDORSEMENT MARK FOR COVID SAFE ACTIVITIES
